science how to make water

Malo e leleei my name is sita today i'm writing about what we did in science with mr kane.

Aim: to make water using metal fire and acid.

hypothesis: I thought when mr kane put the metal in to the acid its going to turn into colours but i thought wrong,he started to put a tube to cover it the took it out and put near the fire i thought it was going to suck the up but i just made a pop.

Equipment:

  • 2 tube

  • Beaker

  • Acid

  • Metal

  • Fire

Steps:

  1. Get all of your equipment.

  2. Put a tiny piece of metal into the tube.

  3. Then add acid.

  4. Put another tube to cover the other tube.

  5. Heat up your fire and wait a while.

  6. After 2 minute take out the tube with no water and put it near the fire.

  7. Wait 2 second and you should hear a pop.

  8. If you heard a pop that means you did it if it didnt pop, try again.

conclusion : it poped and all the fog inside the tube cleared.

Reflection:

Give at least three examples in each of the boxes below.

What We Did:

  • We did tapa cloth about your culture or any country.

  •  Then we did water colouring using salt, paint, water, paint brush.

  • After that we did some weaving with some black paper.

What I Learned:

  •  I learned how to  write a diamante poem.

  •  I also learned some new experiences about salt and water.

  • Then I learned about weaving and how you used different colours to do it.

My Favourite Part:

  •  My favourite part is when I pinched a salt and put it on my paper and it looks like little rocks.

  • Also I liked  drawing different patterns.

  • The weaving is also my favorite part because you make this pattern that looks cool with different colours.

My Next Steps:

  •  Trying  to spend more time thinking about writing.

  •  Not to come to class late.

  • Focusing on my reading.
