malo e lelei my name name is sita and i am  working on my hauora task. 

  1. State all areas of hauora in Māori and English, correctly

  • Taha Tinana (phycica well-being) 
  • Taha Hinengaro(Mental and Emotional well-being - self-confidence)
  • Taha Whanau (Social Well-being - self-esteem)
  •  Taha Wairua (Spiritual well-being - personal beliefs)


2. Explain, in depth what whare tapa wha is about

Te whare tapa whā is a model of the 4 dimensions of well-being  by Sir Mason Durie in 1984 to provide a Māori perspective on health. 
Describe, in detail what each area of Hauora is about. Provide examples from each area of hauora.
  • Taha tinana - Physical well-being
the physical body, its growth, development, and ability to move, and ways of caring for it.

    • Taha hinengaro - Mental and emotional well-being
    coherent thinking processes, acknowledging and expressing thoughts and feelings and responding constructively


    • Taha whanau - Social well-being
    family relationships, friendships, and other interpersonal relationships; feelings of belonging, compassion, and caring; and social support

    • Taha wairua - Spiritual well-being
    the values and beliefs that determine the way people live, the search for meaning and purpose in life, and personal identity and self-awareness.



    Pick one scenario pg2 Explain how the main character's wellbeing has been impacted. Cover at least 3 areas of hauora.
      Scenario 2- Louise and Josh have been best friends for the last 9 years. They both started at Hornby High School at the same time and were even in the same class. At the end of term 1, Josh started going out with a new student called Leon. Louise has felt really left out and frustrated with Josh since he started going out with Leon. Josh hardly spends any time with Louise anymore.
